What ages is HushCradle suited for?
HushCradle is designed for newborns up to 12 months. Stop using it once your baby begins to roll, wriggle strongly or outgrows the fit.
Can I use it in a bassinet, bedside crib or pram?
It's designed to fit most bassinets, bedside cribs and prams. Always check it sits flat without folding or bunching, and follow your bassinet or crib manufacturer's instructions.
Can it help with head shape or head preference?
Soft, rounded head padding gently cradles your baby's head, and changing positions can make it easier for babies to turn both ways. It isn't a treatment for any head-shape condition, so speak with your pediatrician if you're concerned.
How does it help with acid reflux?
The gentle 15° elevation lifts your baby's upper body so gravity can help keep feeds down, and many parents find their baby more comfortable after feeding. HushCradle is not a medical device and does not treat or cure reflux.
How does it help with trapped gas?

Will this work for silent reflux?
Silent reflux doesn't always bring visible spit-up. Signs can include arching, fussing after feeds and trouble settling. The elevation is the same whether or not your baby spits up. Only a pediatrician can diagnose reflux.
Will this work for colic?
Colic has many possible causes and no single fix. Many parents find babies settle more easily in the snug, slightly elevated position HushCradle provides, but we don't claim it treats colic.
Is this better than propping with pillows?
Yes. Pillows, towels and blankets can shift and leave gaps around your baby. HushCradle is purpose-built, with a fixed incline, head support and a safety belt, so you aren't improvising.
What if my baby likes to roll onto their tummy?
Babies should always be placed on their backs, and the belt helps keep your baby positioned that way. If your baby is trying to roll or turn over, stop using HushCradle and talk to your pediatrician.
What happens once my baby outgrows it?
There's nothing to unlearn. HushCradle gives positional support in the early months, and as your baby grows they move on to a flat, firm surface as your pediatrician advises.
Can I use it for tummy time?
Yes, for gentle, supervised, awake tummy time. Detach the leg cushion and turn HushCradle upside down to make a supportive slope. Stay with your baby the whole time.
Is HushCradle safe for overnight sleep? Does it need supervision?
HushCradle is designed for supervised use. Because it has an incline, don't leave your baby unattended in it, and talk to your pediatrician before using it for sleep. Always follow current safe sleep guidance.
How do I clean and maintain HushCradle?
Base: spot clean with a soft cloth, warm water and mild soap, then air dry completely. Avoid soaking or machine washing.
Leg cushion: unzip and remove the cover, machine wash on a normal cycle, and dry completely before replacing.
